ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amy Sunners is a working artist and art educator. Born in Brooklyn, her family relocated to Boston where she and her younger brother Billy were raised.

Amy graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Industrial Design. After completing a Masters Degree in Art Education from Tufts University and School of the Museum of Fine Arts joint program, she spent a year focused on community based art education.

Amy enjoys genealogy, photography, and wire sculpture, but has no interest whatsoever in jousting and isn’t too keen on falafel. She currently works at Gann Academy as the photography and yearbook teacher.
